dhk’s future plans for Accra….....

The Accra Waterfront initiative is a significant mixed use development on the coastline of Accra which aims to create an attractive resort style urban node. It is a private sector initiative that has the potential to become a catalytic development and transform the area into a new, vibrant mixed use community.
This exciting nodal project will thrive on private sector investment creating leasehold and freehold sales opportunities. The project will create a new neighbourhood with a blend of retail, office, residential and leisure. This part of greater Accra could fast become an urban growth zone, with the availability of land for development to the north and east of the site, good road connections as well as planned upgrades to the surrounding road infrastructure.
Not only will the project bring a massive economic boost to the area offering improved hospitality, retail and new office facilities, but it will also help foster a new type of waterfront lifestyle for Accra where people can live, work, shop and play by introducing a truly world class development to this large (19.0 acre) strategic site. The beach front luxury apartments and high quality hard and soft landscaping set within conserved mangroves with associated health and sports facilities, will help create a distinctive and desirable location.

Woodin’s Nation is coming, are you ready...

"The Nation is almost here. At 12 midnight 25.09.2012 all our loyal fans will be the first to know all about the Nation." Woodin

Paulina Opoku-Gyimah says: Founded in 1985, Woodin is probably the most recognised textile manufacturer in Ghana -and has, over the years been celebrated for its youthful fashion collection.

Woodin’s 100% cotton wax print cloths are renowned for their quality -and originality -and it appears that this textile house is on a new marketing drive -and its plans (I’m afraid I have no idea what’s going on) are to be revealed at midnight tonight… But in the meantime, I thought I would share the above photos with you….they are quiet impressive.

I truly hope that Woodin is daring to go where no other textiles manufacturer in Ghana has gone before, -and becomes a global player….
