A locally designed collection inspired by vibrant African culture

Vibrant colours and intricate patterns are what TSAR Asia's collections are known for.

After taking the Malaysian fashion scene by storm with its debut collection, TSAR Asia is back to satiate fashionistas’ craving for everything tribal with the new TSAR Asia Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

The TSAR Asia S/S 2012 collection explores the beautiful horizons of the Western African country of Ghana with her new collection. “Ghana is an inspiring land. On every inch of the land you can feel the vibrations, the harmonious spirit emanated by various tribes that make up its vast society and of course, the well-preserved heritage and folk arts,” says brand founder Wan Sariah Wan Jaafar.

“Due to the natural charm, as well as its magical appeal, I have decided to commemorate Ghana in a collection of shoes and accessories that can be easily paired with this season’s must haves such as Burberry’s tribal-print knotted skirt and raffia jackets.” Wan Sariah adds.

The TSAR Asia S/S 2012 collection boasts an array of shoes and bags that fashionistas will be clambering for. The strappy yet sexy open toed Mattata wedges work look great with sun dresses and light fabrics. These pair beautifully with the Zokaya clutch which represents the richness of Ghana’s flora that is endemic to the country.

The intricate patterns and vibrant colours of the TSAR Asia S/S 2012 collection will freshen up any wardrobe. All the bags and shoes are custom-made and limited in units. Wan Sariah's goal is to continue to scour the globe in search of fabrics, accessories, and inspiration for upcoming collections. "My primary aim is to put a little bit of the globe in your wardrobe," she says.
