Inside job..............Christabelle Amoah court case

'Inside job': Halifax bank manager jailed for giving a little extra help to robbers

She deliberately timed putting out rubbish so two gunmen could rob her branch and has now been jailed for 12 years

A bank manager who deliberately timed putting out rubbish so two gunmen could rob her branch was jailed for 12 years.

Christabelle Amoah, 28, allowed two men armed with handguns to force their way in through the back door of the Halifax in Mitcham, South London.

Wayne Sefaah, 27, and Lee Palmer, 33, who were disguised as workmen, forced staff and customers to lie on the ground before grabbing £100,000 in cash from the safe.

They escaped in a van driven by unrelated Jeffrey Amoah, 23.

At Kingston Crown Court Sefaah and Palmer were sentenced to 15 years, and Amoah to 13 years.
The gang’s accomplices Daisy Owusu-Henewah, 30, and Kevin Sefaah, 25, were also jailed.

Det Con Stuart Crawford said: “Men waving handguns, making threats must have been terrifying.”
