Kanye West as an Ashanti King……

I claimed Kanye West as one of my own a hundred years ago, and as far as I’m concerned -he’s of Ghanaian origin (laughter). -Anyway, imagine my surprise…, when I stumble upon this fab imagine of Kanye via Face book -looking uber regal in a majestic kente cloth fit for a king?

I don’t know if this image is real or photo-shopped, but I love it paaaaaa… He looks sooo at home as an Ashanti King…

I’m compiling a list of the best dressed men of Ghanaian descent and whilst doing research, -stumbled across GQ magazine’s 50 Best Dressed Men in Britain 2012.… -And I’m chuffed to bits as it includes four of the men on my list….


Fashion designer Adrien Sauvage came in at number 44, Rapper Dizzee Rascal at 12, actor Idris Elba at number 7 and Ghana Rising fave, footballer Mario Balotelli at number 2.

Music: Slimbo -I think he has the X factor…producers take note..

I enjoy the numerous messages and film clips of GH artists I get via my facebook account -even though I’m rarely moved or impressed with said artists, -but step forward a young man called Slimbo, a rapper based in Ghana. He tagged me the above film clip and I must confess -I’m impressed and believe that he has the X factor and needs a good producer and management team -but who can do the job in Ghana? I have suggested Slimbo tag and contact: Reggie Rockstone, Mugeez and the boys from R2Bees and Jon Germain (Reckless Dolls) -but what do you think? Who should talented artists contact in GH?
