Big Brother Africa 2013 ---what are the Ghanaian contestants up to?

Good friends: Tanzania’s Feza and Ghana’s Elikem…..

Paulina Opoku-Gyimah says: Sorry folks but I’ve been uber busy plus as a London bound fan, –its hard to watch and keep up this year's BBA -but thankfully the Big Brother Africa Fan Club is on-point and will have you up-to-date in minutes.

Anyway the following text is about Selly one of two contestants from Ghana. Apparently Selly is on her first warning!!!

From the little I’ve seen of Selly, she is super clever, quietly rubbing her fellow housemates the wrong way and making enough decisions to convince the others that she is playing the game paaaaaaaaaa. As for her fellow Ghanaian housemate Elikem the tailor, -he’s all about the ladies –and is proving to be a bit of a ladies man –nothing new there for Ghanaian men!!! Title: Breaking News: Selly Disqualified?

undefined
Ruby House dancing Queen and now notorious rabble-rouser, Selly, was on the receiving end of a severe talking to by Big Brother this evening. In case you missed it, the Ghanaian stunned her fellow Housemates and viewers alike during the Channel O party on Saturday night, when she dumped a glass full of alcohol over Pokello's head with absolutely no provocation that would warrant such.

This evening, Big Brother called all the Rubies, who have talked about the incident in hushed tones since it happened, to the lounge to hand out his punishment. Deafening silence descended over the House as full, uncut footage of the incident was beamed into the House. The culprit, Selly, looked on in what looked to be sheer agony and embarrassment as she was exposed for all to see.

When asked to explain herself in the Diary Room, a panic-stricken Selly told Big Brother she delivered her golden booze shower because Pokello is a good dancer. "I poured alcohol over Pokello's head to show her that she was really dancing well. I didn't do it to provoke her because we get along. I realised later that she didn't find it amusing. We have spoken about it and I have apologised”, she said. Selly went on to reveal how she does the same in Ghana when her friends excel on the dance floor.

When Selly emerged from the Diary Room to apologise once again, Pokello told her "It's okay. Don't worry about it". Take a look at the footage below and share your thoughts. Was Selly giving props or was she trying to stir up trouble?

Big Brother has introduced a Strike Wall that will serve as a reminder that Housemates are not a law unto themselves. This particular incident happens to be Selly's first strike and should she receive three more strikes, she will be expelled from the game.

Elikem the tailor
Age: 24
Country: Ghana
Occupation: Tailor and Actor

Tailor and actor Elikem is single and hails from Accra. Denzel Washington and Samuel L Jackson are his favourite actors – the former because he’s bold, confident and a natural and the latter because “he has made the black man proud”.

Elikem entered Big Brother for three things: the money, the exposure and the game play. He says it’s great that Africa will be watching him 24/7 because he’ll get a chance to show the continent who he is and what he can do and promote himself as a tailor and actor.

He has grand plans for the big prize. He says he’ll host a fashion fundraiser, open 3 retail stores in Accra – and 3 more abroad – as well as shoot a star studded movie before putting what’s left into investments and bonds

Selly the actress.....
Age: 25
Country: Ghana
Occupation: Actress

Selly is an actress from Tema in Accra. She entered Big Brother because of “the mouth-watering prize package” that she says would change her life, and also because she wants more drama in her life to “spice it up more”.

She enjoys watching Fashion Police, SpongeBob Squarepants and Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Selly says her boyfriend has influenced her life because he is extremely optimistic about life and has taught her to believe in herself.

Describing herself as “spontaneous, kind, sensitive, no-nonsense and adventurous”, Selly dislikes back-biting, fake people and sycophants. She says viewers can expect dancing, cooking and entertainment from her. If she wins the grand prize, she’ll further her education, buy her mom a car, throw a huge party, start her dream business, renovate her mother’s house and buy herself a car - See more at: http://www.bbafanclub.com/2013/05/selly-from-ghana.html#sthash.MdZVvDDP.dpuf
