A Woodbridge man is accused of purchasing thousands of dollars in kitchen appliances using stolen credit cards and then asking a woman to hide the evidence from police.

Police say Sabastian Adu Gyamfi, 56, stole several credit cards from victims living across the country. He then used the cards to buy about $150,000 in kitchen appliances and other items from Home Depot.

Police say Gyamfi told Diana Oppong, 37, to destroy the evidence, which investigators found in three different storage sheds in Woodbridge. Computers and other property were recovered from their home on Armitage Court.

Gyamfi faces several charges including two counts of credit card theft, obstruction of justice, and possession of stolen property. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Oppong has been charged with obstruction of justice and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
