Joining the feted ranks of international fashion icons like Jessica Biel, Rita Ora and the Kardashian clan -Ghanaian TV presenter Joselyn Dumas first rocked a yellow S/S2013 Chanel Lego clutch handbag at Glitz Africa Fashion Week's after party capturing the imagination of Ghana's fashion watchers and style elite-alike, -who in turn started rocking there's!!! Whether all are real Chanel's is anyone's guess but the ladies above -all Ghana Rising Blog faves, are rocking real Chanel...
Note, it was not only Chanel's colour popping Lego clutches that had Accra's fashionistas excited in 2013!! Chanel's classic large quilted chain flap shoulder handbags in varying colours were also a hit.
Just check out Milan/Accra based philanthropist, model and former Miss Universe Ghana, Menaye Donkor Muntari who rocked an impressive collection of quilted Chanel chain bags and uber inspirational, entrepreneur and all round fabulous mother -Mrs Samuel Inkoom -Omega Inkoom who rocked classic black and white quilted Chanel handbags in Ghana....
Also spotted out and about with classic Chanel handbags in 2013 were Maya and Hala, -the owners of uber chic JClo boutique, probably the most stylish fashion hub in Ghana, who rocked their classic quilted Chanel chain handbags at last year's prestigious Ghana Fashion & Design Week shows -and actress Yvonne Nelson, photographed off duty looking chic in a Zara Tiger jacket and jeans combo -with the must-have classic black quilted Chanel chain handbag..... Thus, I'm predicting --2014 is going to be all about Chanel, but please note, faux Chanel handbags are complete no, no's .....

With regards to stockist in Ghana....please note, like all big designer brands, Chanel is not directly available in Ghana, thus its a case of sending your 'peeps' in London, NYC or Paris some money and they ship it over/or flying it to you, or you buying it via the ubiquitous annual Dubai trip!!!
Note, its available from the Chanel Boutique in the Burjuman Centre, the world's largest shopping mall -the Dubai Mall which sits perfectly opposite the Bur Kalifa, the world’s tallest building --and the newly opened Chanel boutique in the Mall of the Emirates seen above....
If you are hell-bent on buying your Chanel in Africa --Chantal Kerzner's uber chichi NEO, South Africa's premier high-end fashion boutique situated in Cape Town’s One&Only Resort -is worth calling to see if they have any 'Chanel' before you book that presidential private jet (laughter)....
