Ghana Rising says: let it be Grace Sarfo –again oooOOOoooo,
she’s fab.. Anyway I’ve decided to write
about Ghana Models Awards show this year because I can see their vision and I’m uber
pleased that they have included photographers, but I still feel that they can
push further and maybe add: make-up artists, hairstylists and stylists –next year…
Anyway I’m pleased with the direction this ceremony is taking –and wish its organisers
the very best……

This is an annual awards show with the main purpose of
rewarding and encouraging deserving individuals with evidential records of
excellence in the modelling industry in Ghana. This awards show targets models
of Ghanaian origin or nationality, and also models of other nationalities but
are active in the modelling community in Ghana. The ‘Ghana Models Awards 2013’ also seeks to award corporate bodies and personalities that have supported and contributed to the growth and positive development of the modelling profession. This awards show also aims at promoting the ‘modelling culture’ in Ghana by strongly encouraging upcoming models and inviting new talent into this highly competitive industry. This awards show will echo the message ‘Modelling is a Profession, Not a Hobby’ across all boards in Ghana. Aims/ objectives:
To give the ‘modelling industry’ in Ghana a boost by
raising the level of reputation and ‘stardom’ of models in Ghana to that of
their counterparts in the music and film industry hence increasing their
earnings and giving meaning to the statement “Modelling is a Profession, Not a
Hobby’.
To help ‘sell’ modelling talents to the outside showbiz
world; thereby assisting in advertising and branding Ghana as an exciting
African destination hence attracting more investors with respect to the fashion
world.
To bring together and ease the tension in the modelling
community in Ghana as there is strength in Unity.
