Title: Update: Russian Chief Justice at 37 Military Hospital
The Chief Justice of Russia, who got severely injured in a motor accident in the Volta Regional capital, Ho, has been admitted at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. He is currently at the Intensive Unit, government has confirmed.
Justice Viacheslav Mikhailovic Lebedev was one of the guest speakers at an annual Ghana Bar Association conference and was returning to Accra when the accident occurred.
"The Rt. Hon Lebedev who is currently at the intensive care unit of the 37 Military Hospital was brought to Accra through an emergency Airlift conducted by the Ghana Airforce. He is in stable condition."
Joy News has learnt the accident occurred at about 4:45pm Monday after a Tiper truck crossed the Chief Justice's convoy.
He was first sent to a Volta Regional Hospital for treatment, but was later airlifted by a military aircraft to the 37 Military Hospital.
Joy News' Volta Regional Correspondent Mawuli Agbi, reported that the Chief Justice Lebedev was said to be in serious pains.
His security guard was said to have also sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Justice Lebedev is the head of a four member delegation on a four day visit to Ghana

Words cannot express how devastating this news is… Ghanaians
struggle everyday with bad roads and reckless driving by a crazy few motorists
but we wouldn’t wish this on our own or visitors and pray for a speedy recovery
for the Rt. Hon Justice Viacheslav Mikhailovic Lebedevis and his body guard.
Now that our dirty laundry is out for the whole world to
see, Ghana’s government must make road safety a priority –pronto…..
